I read that a future series of Dr Who may have a woman in the lead role!
Who do you think would be good in that role and any ideas what she would change about the Tardis or anything else?
The vacuum of space could take on a new meaning and all that stardust clogging up the place. She'd have robots on board to keep things ship-shape.
Would the the ARFm Soundscapes tea lady be a good replacement for example? Would she have John Young as her assistant playing keyboards to sooth her nerves as she battles with those untidy cybermen.
Would ProgPaul beam his show at invading Daleks and is it them that are causing these problems in the Birminghsm studio, so many questions so little time.

Felicity Kendal would be an interesting one Lee! How about Catherine Tate? The daleks would come up to her and say exterminate! And she'd say: "Am I bothered?" "Do I look bothered?" etc

I liked Maggie ;D I had loads of money when she was around, now I'm just poor! WAH!
Dr Who as a woman hmmmmmm - well my heroines are Angelina Jolie or Rachel Hunter.......but I reckon Dawn French would actually be quite good!
What about some cool baddies? John Malkovitch does an excellent line in baddies ;D Or Sean Bean.........

never mind Maggie - what about Carol Thatcher - now she would make a tough Timelord and no mistake. We could have had Mark as well, but he'd probably end up lost in the Tardis

I agree Janette, Dawn French would be good or how about Jo Brand?

Yes Dawn French would be good! I think Mrs Thatcher would be better off cast as a hybrid/human leader of the Daleks. Ann would make a good leader for one of those aliens that kept parping in the last series? Baddies.... mmmmmmh....... (2 hours later) ...... Phil Collins?

Jo Frost from 'Supernanny' could be the new Dr. Who - she could tell the Daleks or the Slitheen to sit on the naughty step, or tell them 'now, invading Earth is not a-sep-tible!' Chris Evans should be a Slitheen.

As in - absolutely fabulous I suppose Maggie Thatcher would be good at dealing with the daleks, as she had that same personality.

Maybe Dr Who will one day find the daleks have used that rascal of a wardrobe and invaded Narnia.... Next stop Rotherham Herringthorpe Leisure Centre Sat 15 April 2006 to see KinoThanks to Wal for the 'doctored' pic.

Alex Kingston I reckon, of ER & Boudica, already made her appearance with a sonic screwdriver. And exactly WHAT did she whisper to David Tennant that made him lost for words.
