[glow=silverbluemagenta,2,300]L O G A N ' S R U N[/glow] 70s.fast-rewind.com/This is a classic Sci Fi about post-pollution post nuclear war 23rd Century earth, where everyone lives in a domed city, that look uncannily like the Eden Project diomes from outside! To control the population the inhabitants each have a life-clock, a crystal embedded in their palm, the colour indicating the age and when you approach 30 it flashes red and then goes black! You then have to attend Carousel and are "Re-newed", a euphenism for being zapped by a laser! D'oh!! Obvioulsy some people don't like let alone believe the idea and so they run before Re-new day, and the police (Sandmen) hunt the runners down. Logan is a Sandman and well no spoilers but as the title already hints! It is a really good film and has more to it than this summary but hopefully most of you already know? Starred: Michael York, Jenny Agutter, Richard Jordan, Peter Ustinov and :-*Farrah Fawcett, (nice hair but had to play the dumb blonde in this role) There was also a spin-off tv series made based on this. www.silvascreen.co.uk/master.cfm?SilvaCode=FSM7-4

I thought I'd reply to my own thread to make me feel better.

Thank you all for replying, I was beginning to feel like Box... Well Alison, in the film it was very wise to pretend to be 27 or at least not 30 for as long as possible! Lindsay, providing you don't have the surname Berry, no worries! Hope no one in Government caught the film at easter Pickle, else it'll give them ideas now they have a pensions crisis - among other things!

The actress who played Jenny Agutter's role in the TV series, Heather Menzies, was also one of the Von Trapp family in 'The Sound Of Music'! I can't remember if they came across any nuns though.
