Slang is a far better album than people give it credit for, not a classic by any means but "Slang", "Work It Out" , "All I Want Is Everything" & "Where does love go when it dies" are all great tunes, its just a little diffrent to the usual Lep although the song "Slang" would very easily on anything DL had done previously! but Euphoria is probably my favourite post "Vault" album. Khymera & Work Of Art are gonna be big hits methinks with me, can't wait Woody

were you not keen on the last Khymera album "A New Promise" "alone" & "Fields of fire" are worth the price of the cd alone! although based on what i've heard so far on ARFM, this new one is upping the bar again! probably becuase the entire album is written by AOR geniuses James & Tom Martin (Sugartown) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_and_Tom_MartinWoody

The Lepps don't touch anything on Slang for their live shows. As for the Martin boys, they are AOR song writing masters

I've got a great bootleg from one of the shows and they do 2 or 3 songs from Slang, and very good live they are, too.

Interesting reading, cheers mate. Surprising to see that Slang has out-sold both Euphoria and X

If i remember correctly X was criminally under promoted, it was like the record company just didn't want to or couldn't be bothered

Sales figures were interesting! Thought Vault would have sold more, but having said that Def leppard have released two greatest hits in recent years (another one for the tour? wouldn't be surprised!). people may argue Slang sold as many as it did due to the band riding high on the back "Vault" and their biggest UK chart single "When Love & Hate Collide" as opposed to the quality of slang compared to those later DL albums!
