I think Gotthard are hoping to again to improve on what was a successful tour for Domino effect or thats what their agents are promising to do for em....
I agree with Steve though making Gotthard a mainstream act is gonna be extremely hard and highly unlikely to occur also if they are demanding too much they won't be able to play full stop in the UK!
i wonder if FF may have been an option if they weren't tied to an exclusive?? Obviously if the band are trying to expand their fanbase been restricted to one live performance to 1,250 fans who mostly will already be fans, does seem like a backwards move in a business mind........but obviously FF would have meant Gotthard were playing to a lot of established fans and would obviously be a good show to play and watch!
think Download could be good option festival wise for Gotthard if the line up continues the way its going Def lep , Whitesnake , tesla , Journey , zz top , motley crue ect......
First time i've even though about doing Donnington in a dogs age......but its looking like a top notch line-up.....

Still no announcement? Maybe they'll do a 'Z' and say each band will play for longer?
I doubt it will be Winger, moody baskets they were last time!!
Lillian Axe would be a good bet!! Y&T and Tesla are pretty much premier division acts but to get any of those three would be great and balance the format a little bit. I need some raw rock as well as sugary keyboards!!

Lillian Axe are playing Rockfest, so no chance there...... I doubt it'd be Tesla or Y&T either...... both bands can tour and may not wanna be tied to 1 exclusive show....

what about Last Autumn's Dream anyone? or perhaps Final Frontier [if only] for the missing place Hi Scotrock...I am liking your choice of LAD...but they aint American and it was said they are an American band that we are waiting for the announcement of....but it would have proved cost effective to put LAD on the bill...since one member will already be there playing with another band.... Ohhh and they are an awesome band!!!! ;D xx

From what i can gather the band in question have pulled out , they were on the brink of signing but got offered dates in the usa instead and have opted to stay that side of the pond. What that means for us is unclear longer sets for the bnds already booked or a plan b-c who knows?

I can't help it, but if that band is House Of Lords and they're NOT coming, I'm gonna be very disapointed. VERY. It just can't be this situiation!

He couldn't have gave a bigger clue as to who it was ;D ;D ;D

not sure if they could draft in Danger Danger as i've been told they would be touring and JB's would DEFINITLEY be played.....although in this scene you never know and tours are hard to get off the ground so one gig is better than none right!
although i've heard a rumour about Nelson, Danger Danger Trixter & Skid Row doing a gig in October in Wales , no idea if its a one-off or part of a tour.....but if it is a one-off that'll mean D2 won't be touring so i'll have to go to Wales to see D2!!!!
