Those were the days, I remember back then you could watch Charlton in the Premiership, have fish and chips on your way home and still have change left to buy a suit or go to the flics or sommat.

Happy Birthday ARfm,still remember taking the day off to hear the launch show from the NEC,and the Jim Peterik interview carried out that day.Funny thing was the Pride Of Lions cd went missing just before the interview I do believe!!! but Mr.P carried on in the face of adversity!!!

We do indeed have to thank all the listeners, they are true and loyal rock fans who inspire us to keep melodic rock alive!

And from my personal angle (on the other side of the pond)....I have only been a part of ARfm for the past year as a presenter, but was a listener before that....I have to thank all you truly wonderful guys at the station. I still listen to your amazing shows and feel lucky to be part of the team. It's the holidays so if you'll indulge me....sending my love to all of you!

Many Happy Returns to ARfm on your 5th birthday! In a time of uncertainty and (usually) bad news, it's good to see that the station is going as strong as ever and still refreshes parts that others cannot.

Will make sure I have at least one beer for every year of ARfm's life this weekend.....
