Also, bring back the death penalty. See, this is one of the very few things me 'n' him will always disagree on. I feel very uncomfortable with the thought of the death penalty and very much feel that it would open the door to a more vengeful society. The lines would get blurred and vigilante attacks would be rife. To me, killing is wrong, regardless of whether it's sanctioned by the state or not. I'm not in favour of the death penalty either, even though there are some criminals who, imo, barely have the right to life (Paedophiles and such like) Mainly I'm against it because there is no second chance for the many occasions that our justice system gets it wrong. I'm not convinced it is much of a deterrent either -doesn't seem to work in the States does it? I think it would make violent criminals even more determined to kill anyone who was witness to their crimes.

No I'm not a fan of the death penalty either. If people are convicted of killing another human being don't send them to prison send them to fight in Iraq. They can kill or be killed their and no one would care less, and then we would have more room in our prisons for people serving time for minor offences like theft etc....
