For a feature I am thinking about doing on one of my forthcoming shows not to mention quite an interesting discussion point who would you like to see in an allstar band? You can have any musician living or dead and you can add/delete sections as applicable. Could be quite a fun sound! Here's mine: Vocalist/s: Bon Scott (God) Lead Guitar: Steve Vai (The Other God) Rhythm Guitar: Malcolm Young (AC/DC) Bass Guitar: Roger Glover (Deep Purple) Keyboards: Jon Lord (Formerly Deep Purple) Drums: Bill Ward (Sabbath) Percussion: Jeremy Colson (Vai Band) Tour Manager: Steve Price (I'd be watching it!) I figure Vai and Glover would be quite a funky trio with Malcolm Young and Bon Scott providing the gritty edge. Bill Ward and Jeremy Colson would make for some amazing drum and percussion action as well. Jon Lord could be playing sound effects on his Roland Synthesisers and still sound good! Close contenders were: Brian Johnson (AC/DC Vocals) Ian Paice (Deep Purple Drums) David Coverdale (Vocals) Billy Sheehan (Bass) I reckon I might be able to do a prize for the most original entry. Anyone for a signed photo?

A signed photo?? Surely you wouldn't subject to your sweet, innocent and unsuspecting listeners to that?!

Ok then Ben.. Right being of a proggy/electronic ilk my all star band would have to be... Keyboards.. Oliver Wakeman, John Young, Martin Orford, Clive Nolan, David Wright & Andy Pickford.. (I do like my keyboards tha nowz). Drums.. Johanne James Guitar.. Arjen Anthony Lucassen, Steve Hackett, Bob from Strangefish & David Mark Pearce (Oliver Wakeman Band) and of course CRS Guitarist of the Year John Mitchell. Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin & vocals, Guy Manning Flute, John Hackett, Ian Anderson & Thijs Van Leer Violin(Electric Fiddle).. Julian Gregory & Liz Prendergast Bass.. John Jowitt Vocals, Russell Allen, Damian Wilson, Paul Manzis (hope I've spelt that right) aka Moon Kinnaird, Heather Findlay & Kirsta Johnston. Oooopps maybe a bit OTT, but whow what a band that would be eh? Prog (Over Enthusiastic) Paul

And bloody hell, how am I forgetting Danny Bowes (Thunder)? Do you think 6 vocalists is too greedy? ;D Bass - Phil Lynott, Chris Carville (JSS) Drums - Harry James (Thunder) Guitar - John Mitchell (The Urbane, Kino, Arena), Chris Green (Pride), Howie Simon (JSS) Keyboards - no idea, would rather it just be guitars! Much more sexy ah but wait, JSS plays keyboards...... I'm sure I'll think of some others....... Tour Manager - ME! ;D ;D
