Oh well brilliant! We arrived at the Carling Academy (can I say that on here -probably It what I used to call the Hummingbird..dont know if anyone remembers the place... Well we stood rooted to the spot for the support band Karma45 - no I`ve never heard of them either. Not because we wanted to you understand its just the floor was so sticky it was hard to move! Karma45...hmmm "we want to be Placebo" Anyway moving on....found a great place to stand by the mixing deck..always useful when you`re vertically challenged LOL Live were outstanding... a 2 hour set featuring many songs from their excellent new album Songs From Black Mountan as well as favourites from former releases..and even a version of Johnny Cash`s I Walk The Line. Starting with Mystery Ed had the audience riveted and by the second number the whole crowd were singing along..in fact my only criticism was that the crowd were louder than the band. Many of the songs, and especially I Alone, were really cranked up fuelling the crowd into a frenzy of arm waving and chanting. It was excellent and if you get the chance to see them next time round - do so. set list included the following in no particular order Mystery Lightning Crashes The River Wings Voodoo Lady I Walk The Line Iris Mirror Song Sophia Show I Alone White Discussion Sh*t Towne The Dolphins Cry

Wot she said ;D
And they finished with Dance With You....or rather the audience did...carried on after the band had finished and taken a final bow.
Lighting rig was rather good too...(I`m a bit anoraky about such things).
