Five Go Mad In Dorset was my favourite. We had a few Enid Blyton books at home and the programme was bang-on about the stereotypes often used in the stories!

I loved: Five Go Mad In Mescaline with Crossroads Motel actor who played David Hunter as Uncle Quintin who was a crazed addict who played electric guitar on Love Island...
I also loved A Fistful Of Travelers Cheques, which saw Rik Mayall and Peter Richardson playing the pseudo hard cowboy types Clint Eastwood etc... stopping in Hotel Bastardos. A sort of parody of WestWorld and Spaghetti Western...
Bad News a pre-cursor to Spinal Tap is a must for any rock fan, it deals with ego, image versus reality and really is fun!

So Shaggy, Pickle and me.... that's it? Were we the only ones watching this series or ah ha... wait now.... maybe we dreamt the whole thing in some mad tri-parallel dream universe.... Boatman vanishes into a cloud of mysterious smoke.. (oh, darn, I've left the sausages under the grill).... Sound of footsteps going really fast down the stairs, metallic clanging noises, tap running, hissing sound.... a few expletives...scraping sound.... Much later..... Boatman returns with reamins of lunch.

More4 have started repeating Thirtysomething, which I always resented for clashing with The Comic Strip Presents first time round! It was when my sister was going out with someone, and the phone would always ring at our house and she'd say, 'Can you tape us Thirtysomething?' And my mum would not watch The Comic Strip - we were a one VCR family then.

Am I the only person who hates Bad News.... thought they were dreadful. Spinal Tap on the other hand was one cool film.
Mind you.. I hated the Young Ones!

I thought the point of Bad News was that they were meant to be dreadful!!?? But yes, Spinal Tap is a great film....I think they later did a similar film poking fun at folk singers although I haven't seen it.
