Don't go to the flics that often, but I just might go along to see this one. Being an avid Clough admirer I gather from the previews that the film deals more with Clough the man than lots of footie action. We'll see.
Love him or hate him, he's the best manager England never had!
Is it still five bob to get in?

Apparently the Clough family were not impressed with the book due to certain errr.... inaccuracies, which led, I believe to a couple of court cases, and don't want anything to do with the film.
I don't think the film will go down too well in these 'ere parts and not sure fans of Leeds Utd will be too impressed....

Tonight, Wednesday....... there is a documentary on Brian Clough which may give a better insight as to why the family are not happy about the film/book.

Agree with John's comments about tonights documentary... Mr P, I presume you typed your comment with a smile on your face?? Of course I had to stand on a stool at the Baseball Ground to see over the wall, while watching Derby beat a certain team from Manchester 4-0 in the Watney Cup Final... many, many, many years ago!! ;D As for Mr Clough Snr, he was always polite and a doting Granddad when I was lucky enough to meet him at Burton Albion!! Tho I think Nigel might have been a tad niffed when his Dad got a bigger cheer than the Albion did... PP

Of course I had to stand on a stool at the Baseball Ground to see over the wall, PP Those were the days. I remember my old dad lifting me high on his shoulders down The Valley to see over the wall. The football was that bad, it was a treat to see what was going on in the street ;D PS I was only 17 at the time.

I'm always thinking of the Pointer Sisters' 'I'm So Excited' when GMTV hype the movie - 'I'm so excited, it's Damned United...'
Colm Meaney portrays Don Revie, and he looks the part.
