STRAWBS FULL ELECTRIC BAND SHEFFILELD BOARDWALK Tue 20 June 2006 Fantastic night, with the band on form and Lambert showing what a talented lead great guitarist he is. Assuming I can read my scribbles (it was dark) and real- ale consumption took place (hic) these are the tracks they performed... in this order... Lay Down Out In The Cold (those lyrics ) Round & Round (the keyboard intro sounded like an electric didgeree-doo) Burning For You (superb!) Brave New World Autumn (what a fantastic piece) Cold Steel off new album Deja Fou: already Mad You & I When We Were Young - with that haunting keyboard intro... Heartbreaker - stunning! The River (what a riff) Down By The Sea (statutory drum solo) Hero & Heroine Round & Round (reprise?) much clapping and shouts for more etc.... trips to loo, more beer buying (erm too much detail Boatman) Encore Here Today Gone Tomorrow (off Deja Fou) Only disappointment is that they didn't play Ghosts this time which is one of my favourites... Thankfully no Part of The Union, this was the good stuff, proggy and imaginative! Not arf.... Time for bed said Boatman in a zebedee kind of way but without the spring obviously....
