Got a cheap flight out to Barcelona tomorrow - I'm off to see Alan Parsons there on Tuesday night. Should be a great show, as it's the same "new Project" lineup he had when I saw him play at the Astoria in London about 18 months ago.
And just like Firefest last year, my hotel is about 20 seconds walk from the venue!

Thanks Boaty! A great time in Barcelona it must be said (even though I forgot Steve's postcard....) The sound quality from the band and venue (Luz De Gas) was fantastic - I think "dynamic" is the word. The crowd were really into the show, clapping along during one of the guitar solo's, forcing the guitarist into a faster and faster tempo - he looked shattered by the end of it! Strangely though, I tried speaking to a few punters before the show, and got a few quizzical looks (I guess English isn't needed so much in Barcelona), but they were all later singing the lyrics to all the songs in perfect English! The show started at 10pm (no support), and finished at quarter past midnight (with the crowd shouting "Ole, Ole Ole Ole" for an encore). As it was still 28deg C outside, we found a pub and sat outside with a few frosty ones until half two in the morning. Very civilised!
