Hi All, I have great pleasure in announcing that I (and the Tea Lady of course, Ben you might get a cuppa!), will be moving down to the London Studio so that I can interview MR JOHN MITCHELL, guitar supremo with Arena, Kino, The Urbane, John Wetton and Wetton/Downes, not forgetting the Classic Rock Society Award for Best Guitarist, this Sunday 02 April 06, between 3-6pm. Any questions for John please email me at paulbaker@arfm.co.uk And I will try not to bring any gremlins with me from the 'West Midlands' Studio. Ta ta. Prog Paul

[glow=purple,2,300]F A N T A S T I C! [/glow] [glow=blue,2,300]MR JOHN MITCHELL Rock Society guitar hero![/glow] What a talented musician, we've seen and heard him in all the bands mentioned and he really needs more public credit for his huge contributions to those bands. He is one of those self-efacing guys, who just gets up there and does a great performance, yet I don't see him getting as many acolades as he deserves. I particularly love his stuff with Kino and also when we saw him perform with John Wetton doing the Crimson stuff, the only description for this music and his performances is: [glow=red,2,300]WOW!!![/glow] Most recently we saw him do the Wetton/Downes (Icon) solo and Asia set. Personally with the Wetton oriented set-lists, I prefer a mix of Asia, UK, Crimson and his Wetton solo. Asia on its own is fine, it has great moments but in my opinion, what is really needed is more of a mix such as I described earlier. That, I believe, is what most Wetton fans want and it makes for a hell of an exciting set. Red plus Starless & Bible Black, really do the business and Mr Mitchell does a great job. [glow=teal,2,300]QUESTIONS[/glow] What are John's favourite pieces from Crimson, Uk and Asia to play? Has John a particular favourite Kino track and would he like to share any inspirations behind the songs with us? What have Kino in store for the April gigs? Are they planning to play The Limelight, and Robin 2 as well as Rotherham? Has John any embarrasing on-tour moments he would like to share with the listeners? What is the hardest pieces he has ever had to play live? What are John's own guitar heroes and has he ever had the chance to work with them?
