Sorry folks but IMHO Hall & Oates ain't rock, pushing the boundaries a tad too far. Nothing wrong with them, if you like 'em, but rock.. .nahhhhh.. Crikey we'll be calling Dire Straits prog next! A-Ha now there is an interesting one.. would it surprise you to know that they are one of the favorite/inspirational bands for a certain person within a pretty tremendous up and coming progressive metal band from around these 'ere parts! Spice Girls.... surely that was a typeO Mr P... if yo don't stop it I'll get my Tin Machine and Under the Dome CD's out... Cheers Prog Paul

Hall & Oates are more soul/pop than rock despite the odd little ditty that I dont mind (Out Of Touch; Man Eater). Being rock and having soul leanings isnt all bad if its done right - Glen Hughes or JSS are a prime example of knowing just how far to push the soul side of things. We all have the odd tune or something that isnt strictly rock in our music collections. I have Ultravox, Japan, Glass Tiger, Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre cds. And best of all a 7" single by ALF (Alien Life Form off the tv series) - pure class

You'll know you're being wound up when I try to argue that the Spice Girls are influenced by GirlSchool. Oh right yeah, cos they used the same eyeliner? ;D

Do you know the most amount of makeup I ever saw belonging to one person.... was a bloke!!
He used to work in a certain CD store in London and he had endless supplies of it! He also had enough hairspray to stiffen the Eiffel Tower!
