official synopsis type blurb: SYNOPSIS The story follows Johnny Blaze, a motorcycle stunt rider who sells his soul to Mephistopheles in order to save his dying father. Years later, Mephistopheles offers to free Johnny's soul if he agrees to become the Ghost Rider, an agent of vengeance. Mephistopheles also demands Johnny kill Blackheart, Mephistopheles' son who wants to create an even more hellish hell. Starring: Nicolas Cage Eva Mendes Peter Fonda Sam Elliott Donal Logue Wes Bentley This was pretty good, nothing amazing but a pleasant (if you can call zombies & ghouls 'pleasant' ;D) way to pass a couple of hours. Story wasn't bad, totally far fetched but that's what makes it fun ;D You'll enjoy this if you like big choppers ;D, good stunts, ghoulies and zombies and moderate violence. There was some pretty cool rock music in it too! Don't expect Oscar winning stuff, but for some lighthearted distraction it's great

We're hopefully going to see this next week. The trailer looks great. Hopefully, it's better than The Number 23 with Jim Carrey, that we saw last week!! Oh my god, we've seen some shite over the years (Open Water, The Village, Devil's Rejects, Saw, among others), but this one is the winner

I try to avoid anything with Jim Carrey in if I can - the notable exception being 'The Truman Show' which I really enjoyed. His supposedly 'funny' stuff leaves me cold That's a shame about 'The Number 23' - I read the synopsis of that and thought it sounded quite good, but if you say it's crap I may not bother ;D I'm really annoyed I never had time to see 'Blood Diamond', everyone I know who saw that said it was really good. Just have to wait til it comes out on DVD. I think the next film I'll be seeing will be 'The Good Shepherd' with Matt Damon and the gorgeous Angelina Jolie - it looks interesting, altho I suspect it may not be everyone's cuppa! ;D Lee - I took my two youngest cherubs to Ghost Rider (I have to admit I hadn't even heard of it till I was searching the cinema online to see what was on) and they thought it was fantastic! I think 'fantastic' is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration ;D but it's good nonetheless, if you like that sort of thing - which we do
