Out on the 24th of August “Seraphim Falls,” an Icon Production, is a taut psychological action film, an epic chase and primal battle set in the breathtaking landscape of the West. The civil war has ended but Colonel Morsman Carver (Liam Neeson) is on one final mission: to kill Gideon (Pierce Brosnan) no matter what it takes. Launched by a gunshot and propelled by rage, the relentless pursuit takes them both far from the comforts and codes of civilization, into the bloodiest recesses of their own souls. Starring Academy Award® nominee Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan, “Seraphim Falls,” is directed by David Von Ancken from the screenplay he wrote with Abby Everett Jaques. The film is produced by Bruce Davey and David Flynn, and executive produced by Stan Wlodkowski, and Academy Award® winning cinematographer John Toll, ASC (“Braveheart,” “Legends of the Fall,” “The Thin Red Line”) is the director of photography. Co-starring are Anjelica Huston, Michael Wincott, Ed Lauter, Robert Baker and John Robinson. Gonna go see this when it comes out looks like a decent film from the trailer i've seen www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGFl82-lBs8Woody

Have to reluctantly admit this ain't nowt special . It should have finished a good 15 -20 minutes sooner and still had the same conclusion, it goes a bit Twin Peaks in the end act i guarantee you'll be what the hell is this about? The best thing about the film is the amazing Cinematography the scenery is just beautiful from forested mountains , to the grasslands and deserts of the US. It starts off quite promising with a high adrenalin first 15- 20 minutes which will have you on the edge of your seat, the pace very quickly slows down as the chase and the reasons for the chase are explained, making you question what you thought initial of the characters! If you like westerns check it out, but you'll have seen similar done better. Must just be seen for Pierce Brosnan hiding in a rather unusual place and then suddenly emerging from it to ambush one of his pursuers! I'd tell ya but you wouldn't believe me unless you saw it for yourself! Woody
