Been listening to some awesome Westcoast AOR again. First up we have the awesome talent of Swede Peter Friestedt. Sweden sure knows a thing or to about AOR. Peter Friestedt - The L.A. Project (2002) Peter Friestedt - The L.A. Project II (2008) After the release of the critically acclaimed first album LA PROJECT (2002) that got top rewiews and was called best westcoast record in years, Peter has now finished a second CD! On the new CD Peter has written tracks along with grammy award winning songwriters Bill Champlin and Randy Goodrum. The new CD has the wonderful rythm section of John "JR" Robinson and Abraham Laboriel. PETER FRIESTEDT - Guitarist, Composer, Producer, and vocal duties are handled by Joseph Williams,Bill Champlin,Lou Pardini. This is awesome westcoast AOR and will appeal to the AOR purists among you and fans of Chicago, Toto, L.A. Cowboys etc. Next up we have, Soleil Moon - Worlds Apart (2000) Soleil Moon are duo Larry King - Vocals and John Balsucci - Keys,Piano,Vocals along with some of the best session guys around, like on guitars - Michael Thompson, Paul Jackson Jr, Drums - Kenny Aranoff, Percussion - Lenny Castro, Sax - Warren Hill, Organ - Ricky Peterson and finally the London Symphony Orchestra. Whats on offer is 12 tracks of Westcoast Aor bliss. The standard of songwriting and the production on this album is awesome. Anyone into this genre of music needs this album in their collection, i can't stress highly enuff how good this is

I've spent this afternoon listening to this cd and all i can say is fantastic. Again this is strictly for the Westcoast Aor purist's among you. If the likes of Toto,Chicago,Pages, Airplay, Steely Dan etc floats your boat you need this. Only 5 tracks but everyone a winner

paradise-light the fire (quite superb canadian aor pride-far from the edge ( i love this band) 2 gr8 albums, well 1 gr8 album and 1 awesome album. Paradise is a gr8 album, i love George Criston's vocals and the 2nd track "Love Is" is killer. Pride - Far From The Edge all i can say is AWESOME, can't believe these guys called it quits to start Furyon, who are total crap in comparison. BTW ,as far as i know Chris Green who played lead guitar in Pride and Furyon has just got the gig as guitar player in Scrap Metal, nice one
