I think I'm going to have a summer themed show this Sunday given that it's going to be nearly 30 degrees in and around the studio and also because we're all basking this week! I've already got some summery and bluey numbers in my head but I figured as it's you lot who'll be supping beers and listening in your gardens, you might be able to help ole Uncle Ben. If anyone has any summery suggestions or requests then please leave them here or email benfletcher@arfm.co.uk. Summer....simply marvellous* *(TM)Paul Baker 2006, all rights to the catchphrase 'Simply Marvellous' are held by Progpaul Ltd. and www.thetealadyreignssupreme.com. It should not be recorded and edited into any inappropriate context....like an advert promoting 'Gary Glitter Is Innocent' tshirts and suchlike.....

Place Vendome - Place Vendome I dunno why that track reminds me of summer, it just does! I'm sure I'll think of some more later, I have an appointment with my TV right now to watch the 2 episodes of Lost I recorded last night

Ben!! Can I request Garden Party as Liz suggested? Although I am not really a Marillion fan (I actually turned down the chance to see the real Marillion and when we were offered tickets to an exclusive gig here in Burton- I gave the ticket to my friend instead!) I do like a few of their songs, one of them is Garden Party!! It's also the most apt song that I can think of round here, everyone seems to be sitting out in the garden this week, perhaps it's becuase we are unsure how long it will last!!

Ben, this is one song that will fit the bill perfectly. It's pure summer time listening and the title say's it all, it's Blue Tears - Rockin With The Radio. A total classic

Thanks to all those who submitted ideas and took part. If the weather is consistent I will beg, steal and borrow from this thread a bit more!
Cheers
Ben
