Hi All, Tomorrow's Soundscapes will be my last for a couple of weeks (yes calm down put the party on hold for a while!) I'm off on my hols for a couple of weeks and Mr Ian "Epileptic Gibbon" Fairholm will be taking over the show. ;D Ian has great taste in music and is, ultimately, the bloke responsible for me playing 'Leaf Blower' on air for the first time! So expect the unexpected alongside some wonderful progressively influenced music that you probably won't have heard before. Please join Ian next Sunday (and the following Sunday) 3-6pm. Cheers. Paul

Can we have some Phideaux please? I'll see what I can do... ...which basically means yes. I'm hoping to feature some classic prog, a whole host of new artists you may never have heard of before (unless you've been listening to my monthly music podcast show, that is), and a few surprises too.

Epileptic Gibbon? It sounds like one of my made up band names that does. It's on a par with The Sycophantic Sockpuppets, Impaled Molusc, Levitating Loonpants and many more I have invented. Why, only the other week I was in a devilish mood and popped into HMV to enquire of the young lady behind the counter if she had Legs Akimbo. She even tried a search for it. It took all my concentration to stiffle my tittering. Ahh yes, the old Shagmeister hasn't lost it just yet.

It's a bit hard trying to get some pc time with 3 others in the house. Yep, the tribe has increased by one cos Elaine's son Tom is now living with us. He's a good lad. He supports Liverpool and likes rap music but we all have our crosses to bare.

Shaggy, you must be a fan of the League Of Gentlemen because Legs Akimbo were the name of the theatre group who performed in schools at Royston Vasey! During an assignment at another school recently, one of the people responsible whispered 'Legs Akimbo', as our team were doing a similar thing. Have you asked at HMV for anything by Creme Brulee? I've also seen a woman who was the absolute spit of Pauline the Job Club adviser in a charity shop in Morley too!

Here I was thinking how popular I was with so many posts on this thread but in my absence it's turned into a Friend's Reunited event! Ah, well, I suppose I should be happy that it's getting my fill-in show some additional attention...
BTW, I always thought Epileptic Gibbon would be a great name for a band but I never got around to forming one so using it as my on-line name ended up being the next best thing. I had also earmarked Elastic Clown Convention and Asparagus Apocalypse as possible band names.

My second and final fill-in show for Paul this week. I'll be playing some Yes, some National Health, some Radiohead, and a few other bits and bobs that I hope you'll enjoy. If not, Paul will be back next week.

If not, Paul will be back next week. Nice to hear some vintage Yes, especially as it showcases the delightful keyboard talents of Mr. Rick Wakemen in his prime! Haven't heard National Health for ages, love their old keyboards always sound like they need a bit of oiling! Good stuff though.

Absolutely! I think they're great and I'm really surprised that they aren't bigger than they are. 'The Subtle Art of Failure' is a fantastic album and that epic track is just awesome.
