Catherine is only 11 and as kids do, she's browsing the net and she's on youtube looking for songs. She finds Alvin and the chipmunks doing pop songs and I'm just about coping with the little rascals making an unholy screeching when suddenly I hear the strains of Queen. Queen songs done by the bloody chipmunks!!!!

Oh but this was just the start as I'm "treated" to Chipmunks doing Ace Of Spades, chipmunks doing Rammstein's Feuer Frei and then Iron Maiden songs, and more of our fave metal tunes. There's AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Guns N Roses, Led Zeppelin, Purple, Sabbath, gawd there's even Nickleback's Rockstar.

These pesky rodents have to be stopped before it gets totally out of control. So who's up for a bit of Chipmunk slaying? Hell I bet there's even a cover of Slayer's South Of Heaven... let me go see....

I heard the pesky varmints on a trailer for the new Alvin & The Chipmunks movie in Blockbuster one week!

It's bad enough them doing classic songs, but Jason Lee (Earl in 'My Name Is Earl') is playing the part of David Seville. Perhaps he really needed the money. ;D

You know now that this is also the shortcut to the hell on buses that is happy hardcore music, played through tinny headphones on an MP3!

Many times I've been stuck in a jam hearing these chipmunk voices on this music - samples of regular songs played at the wrong speed. I'm so glad the guy who initially mastered Anthony Phillips's Radio Clyde sessions for bootleg purposes found gainful employment - not!
