I can't say i'm the biggest Ratt fan in the world, I only had "Out of The Cellar" until i got the best of just before last years canceled UK tour....so was a little unsure as what to expect......
Ratt might not be the best band from that mid 80's era, they might not have the best songs from that era........but these guys are a killer LIVE band! even if your not a Ratt fan you should check these guys out....and prepare to be converted! Obviously with a lot of a bands from the 80's they have a lot of experience on the road and obviously this shows in their confident live performances..... a really entertaining band who play it LOUD!
Quite a few songs i didn't know played...but i must track down "Give yourself Away" (well i think thats what it was called!) "You're In Love", "You Think Your Tough", "U Got It" , "Back For More", "Lay It Down" , "Dangerous But Worth The Risk" , "Slip Of The Lip" , "Body Talk" , "Lovin You Is A Dirty Job" , "Wanted Man" , "You're In Trouble" , "Lack Of Communication " , "I'm Insane" were amongst the setlist and ofcourse they finished the night with "Round & Round"!
The turn out was a lot better than i expected and the band got great reaction's all night! A Lot of young faces about, now if we could just get em hooked on other melodic rock bands.....
The only downside to the night was i got stuck next to the @!#$ from hell ( a photographer), i swear this ignorant prick is very lucky i didn't knock him the fook out especially when the band came to the front of the stage and he was climbing all over me to reach out to the band! one of my pet peeves about gigs is photographers, i know its just me been arsey, but they do annoy me, especially as some are VERY Ignorant and because they are "press" think they have more right to be there than anyone else. I've got news for you just cause you've got a camera round your neck means fook all and stay the hell away from me......i got sandwiched between two last night.... as i was leaving i swear i heard the words "Rock City is better" came from the ignorant Photographer.....which i presumed was in reference to their been no crowd barrier at JB's so Photographers don't get to go in front of it so therefore have to mingle with the crowd.......but anyone who knows me knows I despise Rock Shitty with a passion...so hearing the words Rock City is better (regardless of in what context) almost lead to this prick who had annoyed the @!#$ outta me all night ending up in Intensive care.....
