I had heard different comments about Mike Tramp and the band been a little lacklustre in their performances…….that sure as shit wasn’t the band I saw last night, as Mike and all the band threw them selves into all the songs, the sound was great and I was really impressed with the new band! Jamie Law is a phenomenal Guitarist, one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure to see! Mike had some good banter with the crowd and got everyone singing along & Henning Wanner was clearly enjoying himself and was helping gee up the crowd! The turnout wasn’t great, but I think everyone there enjoyed the set and the band got good reactions from those in attendance! I thought they were great, already wondering when they’ll be back.
Obviously White Lion have some great songs in their back catalogue but highlight of the night for me was “Broken Heart”, but with so many great songs it was hard to choose!
The came onto Ennio Morricones’s “For A Few Dollars More”, which I really loved! They played 3 songs from the new album “Return of the Pride” which all got good responses from the crowd , “Set Me Free” , “Dream” & even closed the set with “Sangre De Cristo”! I Really enjoyed “Wait”, “Tell Me”, “Hungry”, ”All The Fallen Men” “Love Don’t Come easy” which they followed with the immense “Lonely Nights“! They also played if memory serves me right “Radar Love”, “Little Fighter”, "When The Children Cry”, “Lady Of The Valley”, “El Salvador” & “Living On the Edge” think I’ve missed a couple of others…..
A Great entertaining band, definitely worth checking out ! I’ve seen Mike solo a couple of times, but this was the best I’ve ever seen him! When are they coming back?!!!!!!
