Dunno what happened to Stormzone? & we got no support band at all. Which is great shame cause given the extremely good turnout it would have been a dream support slot, for many British bands. Well At least Tesla turned up this time hahaha, which the band did apologise about! Again the sound was top notch, & Jeff Keith’s voice was on form! I know the band got mixed reactions on their last tour, regarding their performances. Tonight I thought the band were on the top of their game, with all the band sounding great and they were all obviously enjoying the set and the great crowd reactions, More I think about It I actually don’t think it was the JB’s crowd that missed out last year…it was the band!!! who seemed genuinely shocked and pleased with the turnout and reactions from the crowd & obviously the band thanked the fans on a couple of occasions! JB’s always generates the best atmospheres of all the venues I go to, I dunno why, but JB’s oozes ROCK N ROLL!
Now if memory serves me right they played through a set of the greatest hits including , “Heaven’s Trial (No Way Out)”, “The Way It Is” , “Changes” , “Signs”, “Paradise”, “Little Suzi”, “Love Song”, “Paradise”, “What You Give”, “Song & Emotion” , “Cumin ‘Atcha Live” , “Hang Tough” , “Rock Bottom”, new song “Live before I die” was excellent and I was really impressed,, sure the band said a new album was planned for October. Highlights for me were probably “Modern Day Cowboy” & set closer “Edison’s Medicine”! The crowd lapped it all up and sung along to virtually every song played, at times louder than the band! I don’t think Tesla will skip JB’s or the midlands again…..
