This Sunday July 9th The Random Rock Inn plays host to the inaugural Redneck Review, three hours of the finest Southern Rock and Outlaw Country from around the World.In an infrequent series supplementing Saturday’s regular live Songs From The South during my Classic Rock Show, I’ll be delving a little deeper into the wonderful Blues, Country, and Folk & Rock fusion known globally as Southern.From Texas to Tennessee, the Carolina’s to Florida and even as far North as Wisconsin and Minnesota, expect to hear the familiar and the unfamiliar.Eat A Peach, Blackfoot, a Duanne Roland tribute, Laidlaw, Rambler, Allman Brothers Band, Snit’s Dog And Pony Show, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dixie Witch, One 90 Grain, Gypsy Sons, The Charlie Daniels Band, Corey Smith, Blackhawk, North Mississippi Allstars & Horsetraders are on the playlist and plenty more.As are the UK’s Medicine Hat & Melonheadman, Germany’s Flatman and Japan’s Savoy Truffle.Plus there will be contributions from Dave Besley and Walt Kulwicki of Those Guys, Chain Lightning’s Greg Lee and Molly Hatchet’s Bobby Ingram.We’ll also have a look at the current online Southern bible Gritz magazine.I will be delighted if you can join me for what will the first of a series of Southern Rock specials to be known as the Redneck Review, the most comprehensive guide to Southern this side of the Atlantic.Noon until 15:00 hours British Summer Time.
