Had this a couple of days now, its an excellent solid Melodic Hard Rock album! the only weak track , for me was the album closer "C'est la Vie"......... But other than that the song quality is top notch and the "production" side of things is also excellent , Ty Sims has done a fantastic job on this....
I think new vocalist Chandler Mogel has given the band , stylistically , more versatility compared to the debut album. The band still rock out on the harder rocking songs like “Fallen Angels” , “Burn…” , “Paradise” & “Live Free” which will definitely impress fans of the debut…….but Chandler’s vocals allow the band to play more traditional sounding melodic rock on tracks like “What about me” , “Always be my Baby” & “All I ever Needed” which gives the album some light and shade which I really like and exposes the talent within the band……the new version of “Wrecking Ball” is great and surprisingly different, although that is mostly down to Chandlers smoother style of singing!
On my first spin the song that jumped out and grabbed me was “Crying In The Dark” killer song which has some great hooks…..the pre-chorus and chorus will embed itself on your ear drums!!!! I love this tune…..and its already getting some serious repeat play……with lyrics by Erik Johnson from Bombay Black…..
A Solid release and definitely worth checking out along with Faith Circus which made up for the disappointing Hugo/Ramos ( I just can’t get into it, it just don’t hook me!) and Honeymoon Suite , which isn’t a bad album , its just nowt special either……
These guys will definitley kick off Firefest Saturday with a Bang.....unmissable....so set your clocks so you don't miss these guys!!!!!

The Faith Circus album will definitely appeal to fans of bands like Survivor , Night Ranger , Reo Speed wagon & the recent 7th Heaven album. This is a great summertime feeling , unashamedly AOR album…..
Again it’s a really solid album , the Kivel quality control is definitely doing its job…..with Top notch production again…..
“Back On Love” , “Alive N Kicken” , Tried and True” & “Pushing Up Daises” are all bright and breezy AOR tunes which will have you singing along and wishing it was summer again!!!!……..slow burners “Can You Feel It” & “Hold On” are also really good with subtle bluesy touches which will appeal to FM fans…….
The band really excel on the ballads on this album, I think good ballads are really hard to find and on this there is 4 top notch ballads …….. “Rain on You”….. the epic “Wasted Rainbow” ….the superb “Half a Man” and “Without Me” which has some great subtle keys on it great stuff…………
If your looking for a cracking AOR album you should pick this up, you won’t be disappointed!……. I’d love to see these guys live……..
