Thanks to everyone for the warm wishes, and especially to those who came to say goodbye personally at the West Midlands Studio yesterday (funny, the pats on the back became quite hard...and I was helped ever so caringly into my car...lol!) A lovely lunch was laid on by the Tea Lady and we had a bit of a giggle (as you probably heard ) and thanks again for the gifts and typically wonderful hospitality. Simon, Paul B, Paul C and Donna (and Ralph one day maybe) it's been a pleasure and see you all soon. I'll be listening so have the 80s 'borderline' albums at the ready! I would like to reserve special thanks to Steve Price, without him fatefully plucking out my CV back in July 05 I would never have met such a great bunch of people nor had so many good experiences at -and as a result of my involvement with- the station and when Angus Young does finally request my services as a stickman I owe it all to him. Seriously Steve, cheers mate. ;D I'll see many of you very soon, there's talk of a couple of gigs that I might be able to ruin make an appearance at so be on your guard. Keep on Rockin', I hear Winser Breweries has a fine selection on tap and there's Karaoke every now and then apparently.... Many many heartfelt (and nausea inducing) thanks for being a part of what has been a very enjoyable experience. Fletch

Ben, it was so lovely to see you and Amanda yesterday and I hope we gave you a good send off!!! My theory was that if you enjoyed yourselves you'd come back and visit occasionally!!
Lots of luck for the future, hopefully see you both soon,
Love The Tea Lady (actually more like the coke lady yesterday as it was so hot!!) ;D xx

It was a great show to end on! Loved the ad-libbing! I asked him to play Bullet The Blue Sky by U2 for Janette wishing her luck with the flying lessons, (ref the Supermwoman-madness thread of Shaggy/ Janette / Boatman). Saldy Ben couldn't find the track but he did read out the dedication!

We did have a fantastic time on Sunday - thoroughly enjoyed myself!! The Tea Lady: what a fantastic spread you put on!!! (The coke was very much appreciated! I shall have to have a world famous cup of tea when the weather is a bit cooler!)
It was an eventful day to say the least but we had a fantastic time!! Will see you all again very soon!
Love

Dave- I will play Bullet the Blue Sky for you (and Janette) on my interlude this Sunday- I have the album in my own collection! Amanda- I'll get the photos sorted for you as soon as I can, I have now finished my jury service (hurray ;D ) so will have a bit more time on my hands now. Glad you enjoyed the Executioner Dave- I thought it was quite appropriate, not that I gave anyone the death sentence, we just sent him down for life!! (well Ralph did tell me to )

- Dave, I will play Bullet the Blue Sky for you (and Janette) on my interlude this Sunday- I have the album in my own collection! "Yeeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaa!", said Janette happily - (she was really getting into this flying thing now) "There she goes again", mused Shaggy, whilst concerned about his pom poms... "Nice one Breezey!", said Boatman as he watched another vapour trail whizz across the sky.... and noticed some pom poms floating past his boat...
