Greetings lovers of classic vintage ROCK.
I hope you can join me as we raid the ARfm archives for three hours between 3 & 6pm UK time tomorrow.
For those of us at an age where we can remember them first time around we can wallow in nostalgia with: Atomic Rooster, Cactus, The Who, Faces, King Crimson, Toto, Dire Straits, Stone The Crows, Consortium all there to be discovered by a new generation of classic rock devotees, plus perhaps more Classic than Rock when The Nice interpreted one of Sibelius’s famous compositions. The Proms could NEVER be like this! Songs From The South this week features a couple of songs off the new solo album from Copperhead’s Neil Carswell 'Good Man's Journey'. Also new to ARfm, Southern Mercy plus regulars Big Engine, Sulentic Brothers, Alligator Stew, Laidlaw, Fighting Cocks, Those Guys, Gentlemen’s Blues Club & Winters Brothers.
Back to back live classics with Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin.
And April’s here to calm things down with her Soft Spot.
Classic Rock, Southern & More. Saturdays 15:00 - 18:00 BST.
