Gabriel: 'Full Genesis reunion is still possible' (Wednesday January 07, 2009 11:25 AM)
Peter Gabriel has fuelled reports of a full Genesis reunion after telling a music magazine he has "no real objection" to touring with his former bandmates.
Gabriel insists other commitments forced him to step back from a 2007 Genesis reunion, which became a 20-city world tour, but he remains interested in a get together.
The Sledgehammer hitmaker tells Mojo magazine, "In principle I have no real objection to playing with Genesis at some point in the future."
If he does take part in a reunion, it will be the first time he has officially performed with his bandmates since he quit the group in the mid-1970s.Ummmm, I won't hold my breath, just yet. Wonder if I dare ask a certain Mr S Hackett the same question on Saturday? Paul B

Oh, go on, Paul. You know you have to!! Did anyone see the Phil Collins interview on Sunday night (part of the prog weekend). I got the impression that he had all but thrown in the towel. Possibly just me but I had a distinct feeling he had no wish to even get back on stage playing his own music. He seemed to have lost all the drive and enthusiasm he used to have. Did anyone else think that. Maybe a "classic" Genesis reunion will be the only thing to bring him back. BG
