Terry Pratchett - Living With Alzheimer's,the television documentary that follows a year in the life of Terry Pratchett, will be shown on BBC2 on Wednesday 4th and Wednesday 11thFebruary 2009 at 21:00.
It's in two parts so presume the 11th is part 2 as opposed to a repeat.....

just watched the second part on BBC i player. I've been a big fan of Pratchett for eons and watching the programmes really brings home the devastating effects the disease not just on the sufferer but on the family of the sufferer. It seems almost criminal that such a brilliant mind as Pratchett's can be struck down with this debilitating illness, albeit that he is only in the early stages of Alzheimers.

yeah it was a really interesting program. Obviously given the subject matter it wasn't exactly uplifting TV. It is a terrible disease which is becoming increaslingly more common....

I watched both episodes and was sympathetic as a relative of mine (now gone) suffered something similar.
I am now more concerned about Terry Pratchett than I ever will be about the person Living are currently making a ghoulish documentary about. I don't care if I'm committing heresy, I just feel the journalists circling round that particular 'celebrity' remind me of vultures waiting to pick the bones.
