www.myspace.com/summersendfestivalThis year's Summer's End Prog Fest will be held in the beautiful town of Lydney Gloucester. So far there are only two bands announced: Parallel or 90 Degrees, with their adventurous, atmospheric, riff-laden memorable and meaningful, progrock-with-clout. With pre-Tangent keyboard-duo Andy Tillison-Diskdrive and Sam Baine at the band's core, there's some of the most exciting keys you'll hear this side of Keith Emerson! Andy's clever story-telling lyrics include hard-hitting, irony-tinged observations on society. The other band is Godsticks, they have a head-spinning blend of complex, compact, in-the-groove-funk, jazz-tinged, sunshine-pop, prog-fusion! So, already two bands poles apart on the vast musical spectrum and there's more to be announced over the next few months, check out the website for details.
