It could have been and almost was, a reunited Humble Pie.
Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton back together not long before Steve’s passing and the results were astonishing. A song from those sessions during the programme. LA Guns Phil Lewis with Def leppard’s Phil Collen in Girl, Alice Cooper, A classic rock monumental piece by Rush, brand new to the programme Indian rockers Pralay, Boston are here as are Chariot, Great White and James Steele. Songs From The South this week, Drive By Truckers, Texas Snit’s Dog And Pony Show, Gulf Coast’s Rebel Pride, a couple of songs from the new Steepwater Band’s Revelation Sunday, they sound very Southern in my book despite being Chicago based but then so are Highway and we’ve got them too. A little further south Wisconsin’s Full Tilt, Alabama’s 2 Daze Gone, Japan’s Savoy Truffle, the UK’s Melonheadman and so much more.
Back to back live classics Colosseum II with Jon Hiseman, Neil Murray, Don Airey & Gary Moore with Dark Side Of The Moog recorded for a BBC In Concert session back in June 1976.
Also, Jon Hiseman’s original Colosseum band mate Dave Greenslade in a re-formed Greenslade recorded on February 10th 2001 at a Classic Rock Society do in Rotherham and Sundance from their self-titled debut album. Original members Dave Lawson & Andrew McCulloch don’t appear on this recording, John Young & John Trotter replace them on keyboards/vocals and drums respectively with original member Tony Reeves on bass.
And April’s here to calm things down with her Soft Spot this week with Barclay James Harvest.
I do hope you can join me.

Thanks Paul, we were at the Greenslade recording plus several other Greenslade gigs around that time too, they are an amazing band, there have been rumours for ages that they are going to get together again but nothing has happened so far
