The line-up does sound awesome. Can't wait to hear who the extra band is! Missed last year's FF, so definitely need to be there this year

Well I was really hoping it would be Talisman as special guests with Gotthard to headline, but apparently not LOL ;D My guess for special guests is Great White - Shaggy would be pleased if it was!

Re Gotthard
The FF team WANTED Gotthard to play. Gotthard wanted to play. Unfortunately Gotthard's new UK based agency just weren't interested... and passed on the chance.

This speculation is killing me....LOL
Alias, by the way are Canadian, and are NOT playing Firefest. They were offered a slot but turned it down - as confirmed by Andrew McNeice on mr.com

This is a big big shame......I was actually praying that they would be announced as the Headers for the main day....but hey ho!!!.... I dont want you to think I am complaining....I am thrilled with the line up. ;D..but The Gotts would have been the dogs danglers for me!!! ( I might have even done an honorary lap around tesco!!! or any other good supermarket chain ;D ) Ohhh and yes forgot to add...thanks to Keiran and all the team whom manage to pull this off with amazing acts year after year!! xxx

Re Gotthard The FF team WANTED Gotthard to play. Gotthard wanted to play. Unfortunately Gotthard's new UK based agency just weren't interested... and passed on the chance. What would be the advantages of 'Gotthard's new UK based agency' passing this up? I mean, I don't know the music biz at all - but why on earth would some agency *not* want a band to play Firefest? What's in it for them? (or not) [puzzled icon] And is it true that Danny Bowes has sommat to do with this agency? Not impressed if so! Or maybe he wants Gotthard to support on Thunder's farewell tour? I'd have thought Gotthard were far too good for that, but............... Just curious (and obviously v disappointed my guess was very wrong for headline spot ;D)

The Gotts would have been the dogs danglers for me!!! Ditto Why bother with supermarkets Sam? There's plenty of hotel lobbies in the vicinity you could grace with your presence ;D Or maybe a quick twirl in the Tap n Tumbler ;D

Just curious (and obviously v disappointed my guess was very wrong for headline spot ;D) Yes it is true that Danny is now Gotthards rep in the UK via The Agency for whom he works. It's not a case of them not wanting the band to play at FF, it's a case of not wanting them to play it for the fee offered. Money is the key in this game as always. The agency clearly believe Gotthard deserve bigger gigs etc...but my personal feeling is this approach is misguided as I do not feel they have a HUGE uk fan base....more niche market. If anything I would expect them to be on bigger tours as, say, third on the bill. There is no connection between Thunder and this situation at all. Completely seperate entities. Gotthard have def not been given the Thunder farewell support from information to hand. Steve
