Greetings All, Get the Sunday Dinner pots cleared away early, turn up the fire, mash a pot of tea, get out the after dinner mints and get comfy in your favourite chair before 3pm this Sunday for another busy ARfm Soundscapes. I'm proud to announce that Julianne Regan (swoon, goes into giggly teenage boy trying to chat up gorgeous lady mode!!, ducks as tea pot flies across room from the Tea Lady!), from All About Eve, will be joining me on Sunday 12th March to chat about the forthcoming release of 'Keepsakes'. Also joining me will be Sam & Matt from the superb, award winning, (Best New Band at the Classic Rock Society, sponsored by ARfm), incredibly talented Dead Like Harry. ;D Lots of new music, a couple of 'oldies' and a reminder of the Strawbs Competition, The Auction and the GLOW competition, so please join Ralph & I (the Tea Lady is having a Sunday off), this Sunday between 3-6pm only on ARfm.... Cheers Prog Paul

Well Shaggy they were certainly live when I saw them play at Rotherham and they definitely didn't die on stage! I'm sure Paul will insist on them having a "live" broadcast. It'll be "dead like" those radio shows we grew up with when album rock was still in vogue on BBC radio...

Cheers Prog Paul ALL ABOUT EVE [glow=red,2,300] WOW![/glow] Julianne Regan, seductive vocals that make your heart melt and your knees wobble... Lady Moonlight the muses' muse. D'oh, Boatwoman has just whacked me with an oar for spending too much time at Martha's Harbour and Wishing The Hours Away until Sunday afternoon... I'm in the clouds, the interview and show is 'just a breath away...' All About Eve music and lyrics transport you to magical and mysterious pre-Raphaelite worlds, rich with beauty and bright colour. Secret pathways to scented bluebell woods, warm summer twilight nights where you can watch 'the May Fly fly' and we can 'dream the night away' under star-filled skies.... What Kind of Fool would write this...? Fools like us.... music lovers all.... Oops Boatwoman is making me walk the the plank.... Sunday here we come Yeeeee haaaaaaa D ' o h! [glow=red,2,300] S P L O S H![/glow] You have my sympathy Boatman (says Prog Paul dodging more tea-pot type projectiles)...

Please can I have some of whatever Boatman is drinking? ;D You'll have to order it from the bar at the Oakwood int South Yorkshire Janette, it is a secret Oakwood potion! The tea lady has her own favourite elixir from the HLC bar in Rotherham Well, the interview with DLH was good and well done for testing out the dual telephone technology, or in the case of siblings, duel telephones! The highlight for me though was Julianne's (aka Lady Moonlight) interview. I did an email interview with her once but you can't compare that with the magic of natural conversation. Superb Paul. The lady was honest, humorous, upbeat, spontaneous, optimistic and happy, it was like the first sunshine of Spring when the daffodils appear. (clearing throat noise) erm (pulls himself together then dodges grenade from Boat-woman) anyway, the inspirations she described for December and Wishing The Hours Away were heartfelt, thoughtful and romantic. And today I received my pre-ordered All About Eve Keepsakes DVD CD package - worth every penny, it is superb. Gorgeous autumnal artwork; CD One is playing as I waffle away. [glow=red,2,300]F A N T A S T I C ![/glow] (takes slurp of secret elixir) ................ o ....................... o ..............................o ..................................p .......................................s (Boatman falls off chair) D'oh! When I was reviewing gigs regularly Paul, it was often essential to meet bands afterwards to get a set-list or clarify something but when I'm at a gig for the pure fun of it, I like to relax and not get involved in the business side which is the bit I hate about rock, too much like work. Don't get me wrong I love reviewing but sometimes it's nice to just go with the flow, drink the Oakwood elixir and enjoy the gig without thinking: 'now what was the name of that track and how was this different from before?' For me, music is an escape from the day-job and as you must find, sometimes hobbies can get very close to jobs - there is a line. Thank you Arfm for making Sunday afternoon an absolute delight!
