A friend of ARfm Soundscapes, Goodge, has formed a new band and aims to release a single to aid the Help For Heroes Charity, please see the message below;
"We are a new band called Soulweaver based in the UK.
We are going to release our song 'Remembrance Day' in aid of the charity Help For Heroes ( www.helpforheroes.org.uk ) in November with all profits from the record going to the charity.
We would really appreciate it if we can get a few people to come and watch the demonstration video of the song at our youtube and let us know what they think. We are working hard on this song and we mean it with the deepest respect to all service people and veterans, and to remind civilians that veterans are all around us as I indicate in the lyrics. It could be the person driving your taxi, your teacher, your uncle, your bank manager, anyone.
Heroes among us.
We would ask for any support anyone can give to help make the most of this opportunity to raise money and awareness for an excellent charity. We hope this song can help stir the emotions of a nation in support of those who, or have, put their neck on the line.
We hope to do as much as we can with this single and when the release we will push it as hard as it can go. We are also pledging the first six months airplay royalties to the charity so every time you play the song you also contribute!
If you could mention the youtube site in the meantime www.youtube.com/soulweaverband that would be great also. I shall make sure you are one of the first to get the finished article as you are one of the first to pledge the help.
Will keep in contact and thanks again Paul, we'll have to repay you sometime somehow.
