They might as well give Rossi the trophy now....no-one will catch him.
What odds - Button for BBC Sports Personality of the Year?
Good to see a new team winning I suppose.

What odds - Button for BBC Sports Personality of the Year? My money's on Beth Tweddle Don't waste your money Alison....Beth probably deserves to win but the good ol' British public will vote in droves for Button and the BBC trailers for the event will be subtle in the way they present the "potential" winners. UK gymnastics does not stand a chance against F1. Just look at how much exposure F1 gets and how it's just about the only event that the Beeb will change the schedules for. No doubt cos they paid an absolute bloody fortune to F1 for the rights....they'll want their moneys worth. Personally, I would vote for Bradley Smith but only a handful of people would know who he is.

Oh they change the schedule for tennis too. There was uproar down here during Wimbledon when that miserable Scot was playing. They put our 18:30 regional news onto BBC2 analogue.Wouldn't have been a problem except we have all gone digital here,so no one could watch it.The problem was totally ridiculous as there had been a large military parade in Exeter(don't start me on why it was there)for troops who have been serving in Afghanistan and remembering those who died, and no one could watch it on tv!!

If you want real achievement, and she probably won't even get a mention in the Beeb's Sports Personality, I'd put my vote to Chrissie Wellington. Two consecutive world titles in the Ironman Triathlon, unbeaten in seven competitions and smashing the world record by 13minutes. Three sports in one. Nuff said. PS Only one decent headline on BBC One news, 'Button Sews It On'

She successfully defended her sprint title at the world championships in Poland earlier this year. And of course, there's always Wiggo, but he did come 4th in the TDF on ITV so that will probably rule him out
