Thursday night is the X factor alternative. I’ll be introducing bands who not only play their own instruments, write their own songs and sing them live, but carry their equipment from their vans, into the gigs, set them up, and afterwards pack it all up and drive home. This Thursday will include three new unsigned bands from North London, Soundescape who you may have caught on Paul Baker’s show on Sunday. From Greenock in Scotland a 5 piece Indie band The Soviets, and from London with an edgy rock sound, five talented musicians called Leika. I’ll also be introducing two tracks from the all female trio from South London, The Kut including their newly released single Doesn’t Matter Anyway. And when the show is over I won’t be asking you to spend your hard earned dosh phoning a premium rate line to tell me what you thought of them all, you can email the studio@arfm.co.uk to do that. Join me if you can, Thursday 1900-211GMT on www.ARfm.co.uk
