Please please PLEASE Firefest organisers - don't increase the capacity, it's going to be a nightmare in there as it is If anything, the capacity needs reducing not increasing With 500 peeps it's extremely uncomfortable in the main hall, 600 is going to be awful, and anything more will be unbearable
Surely if it's sold out it's sold out? People were told to get in early for that, I had to get my daughter to buy my ticket as I didn't have the money at the time (day before payday!) but wanted to make sure I got one. The Friday night used to be much better when it was limited to 300 odd tix.
I can't afford to get my tickets for the Sat and Sun til at least May, probably later, and I've just got to take the risk there'll be some left. If there isn't, well that's my problem and my tough shit. But c'est la vie!
Maybe I'm grumpy this morning cos its early and I'm tired, but really not impressed

Kieran Dargan 19 February at 19:14 on Facebook FIREFEST 2011 FRIDAY 21st OCTOBER : VENUE CHANGE
The Friday night show featuring Jimi Jamison, Terry Brock and Houston has now been moved to the same venue as the other two days; the main room at Rock City in Nottingham.
It was only earlier this week that we’d announced that the first day of our three day marathon at Trent University had sold out, prompting calls from people who didn’t have tickets to move the show to a bigger venue. However, this decision was taken out of our hands later in the week when we were told by the people at Trent Uni that plans were afoot to demolish the building in summer to make way for a new Students Union building, one that unfortunately wouldn’t be finished in time for the show. Thankfully Dave Herron and the good people at Rock City have made their main room available subject to the usual 10pm curfew so that it doesn’t affect their usual activities, which of course necessitates an earlier start than was previously planned. This means that not only have Rock City saved us the almost impossible task of finding a suitable venue in the centre of Nottingham, but also that we now have several hundred more £25 tickets available for those that missed out. Details of the new door opening and stage times will be published when available.
EARLY BIRD WEEKEND TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR ONE MORE WEEK.
The demand for early bird tickets for Saturday and Sunday 22nd & 23rd October has far outstripped that of previous years, the £99 weekend tickets selling way over the 300 that we intended to let go at the special price. With less than four weeks gone since the initial Firefest announcement and the weekend almost 50% sold, we’re reluctant to take away the special offer so soon, so we’ll be keeping the offer available for one more week only, the last day being Saturday 26th February. After this date the tickets will revert to £55 per day. Check out www.thefirefest.com for details.
Thanks again for your unbelievable support.
