And so their names were etched in history for ever more.......or more realistically in the Firefest 2012 programme.
Firefest is offering you the opportunity to become a patron of the show. We have always asked you not to just hit the donate button, and the scroll of honour is our way of making sure that anybody who would like to contribute to the show is recognised by Firefest , the bands and fellow fans. Contained in the programme for 2012 will be a double page spread containing the names of everybody that becomes a patron, printed loud and proud for all to see. So how do you get your name in the scroll of honour? Read on
Option 1: For a fee of £20, your name will be included on the scroll of honour for all to see. In return Firefest will provide you with an advance copy of the programme (so you don’t have to buy one on the day) as well as a specific one off commemorative laminate which can be worn throughout the 2012 show to treat as your own personal badge of honour .
Option 2: For a fee of £40, Firefest will include not only your name, but your location and wait for it....your photograph......a passport sized photograph so not only Firefest, but the bands and fellow fans can see your smiling faces. Contributors will receive 2 programmes as well as 2 commemorative laminates (that way your wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend who is not a fan of the music can look cool as well!!)
For example, accompanying your photograph will be wording such as: John Smith, Manchester, U.K. Or Jane Doe, New York, NY.
The perfect way to introduce yourself to the entire Firefest family , rather than “hey who is the guy wearing the Winger t shirt” and an even more perfect way for Firefest fans from areas far afield to show their support for the show if they are unable to travel.
As we have said many times, we are a small show and finance (or lack of) is always a critical concern. We have over 1700 Face book members and many more friends throughout the world that constantly support the work that Firefest does each year. We have seen many suggestions from people with regard to just donating to the show, something which we have always asked you NOT to do, we have always said that we would prefer that we try and give you something in return. The scroll of honour affords us the opportunity bring in some much needed finance , and we hope by giving you one off commemorative laminates, photo and name checks in the programme , that it provides you with something tangible in return .
If you wish to be included in the scroll of honour for either option 1 or option 2, payments can be made via PayPal to:
Firefest@hotmail.com .
Please be sure to include your name and address (no we won’t publish your full address) and for those who wish to avail of option 2 (inclusive of photograph) we will contact you separately by e mail with instructions on photo size, resolution etc. etc.
We hope that we would see 300 people signing up for the various options before December 7th , providing us with a much needed finance boost as we continue booking bands for the 2012 show. The finance raised from the scroll of honour goes directly to the show and allows us to try and make things happen for 2012. Thanks again for your support...... as ALWAYS appreciate it ....more than we can ever adequately say..... The Crew
