Is it just a portable radio TC, or does it have outputs so you can connect it to a hi-fi? I've seen a few, but I want to make sure I get the right one.....

Some have audio outputs, this one doesnt.
Yes its a radio, but allows you to receive thousands of stations from around the world, and streams..
You can get units that connect to your hi-fi but they are more than £40!!

Thanks to tangocharlie we got our heads around it. What terrific little radios. It's brought out the anorack in me that I thought I'd lost by the mid eighties.

Cool
Got It!
Paul explained to me how how he and his 'anorack' friends used to finely tune in the 1980's across the AM bands like short wave to listen to anything "different" from radio broadcast from the UK.
Now we can listen to stations beyond Europe to Australia, New Zealand and the American continent in perfect audio quality, even better than FM.
I'm overwhelmed with this new media, and very proud to be part of it.

Gawd Shane, do you REALLY want to come back? Remember we have winters here, wet summers and now negative equity, soaring fuel prices (if you can get fuel that is), don't even make internet transactions coz your cards will be cloned and any confidential information like child benefit and DVLA will be lost with several hundred thousand others and cloned as well. We're in a bit of a mess and it ain't gonna get pretty for the rest of the year.
