Hi to anyone out there
New to the forum but not the music. Been listening to Melodic Hard Rock since the mid 80's and not stopped since and usually find my new stuff via Arfm.
Music wise the only issue I have is that both then and now none of my mates were (inexplicably!) into the same music as me. I'm now married with kids, mortgaged up, run my own company but want to let my (thinning, ahem) down by going to some gigs such as Firefest but there's no AOR pubs near me to make new acquaintances. So my question is where do people into this great music digitally hang out on the net or physically hang out in the North West of England?
Cheers, Simon

Hi Simon,
You can find most of our 'mad lot', bless 'em on Facebook these days!!
Just search for ARfm and you'll find the 'Group'.
Cheers

Thanks Paul, that's a real shame as I don't use Facebook any more. Decided I didn't want to de-privatise my life and it was taking up so much time I ended up hating the thing. Cheers.

Pretty much sick of Facebook myself. If it weren't for my music business affairs, I probably would have shut it a long time ago.

I tend to use it for talking to bands and other 'contacts'. I hear that there are an ever increasing number of rules on there for bands and musicians!
This forum used to be buzzing, but...
Not sure how to tempt folks back!
