I hope to have the pleasure of your company tomorrow to share the music of living legends. Eric Bell is forever linked to Thin Lizzy and the 'Decca Years' where he broke the mould with his arrangement of 'Whisky In The Jar' Today Eric spends most of his time playing live in UK and Ireland exploring the blues 'Irish Boy' was recorded in 1998 and never before released in the UK with its haunting melodies and gripping 'Blues/Rock'. A master at work for your ears during the show. Mick Underwood started life playing with Ritchie Blackmore when both were in their teens. After a brief spell in The Herd he joined Episode Six (to play alongside Ian Gillan) then formed Quatermass leading him to form in 1974 Strapps- a unique rock band. Sadly the band split in 1979 after releasing 4 albums and recording a sell-out gig at The Rainbow in Finsbury Park, London – a prestigious former venue I frequented and still drive past weekdays. This recording has never been released until now with the masters having been kept in Mick’s tape archives all these years ready to be shared on back to back live classics. Plus there’ll be more seventies rock from Cactus, Kiss, Badger Thin Lizzy & Snafu. Into the ’80s with Fierce Heart, Aerosmith, April Wine, Grand Prix, Manowar, Great White & Philip Lynott plus up to date releases from Empire, Gary Hughes & The Codex. Plus on Songs From The South, new music courtesy of Superswamp Heroes, Aliance, Howie Fritz & Heartburn plus oft played goodies from Old Man Brown, Outlaws, Snit’s Dog & Pony Show, Blackberry Smoke and The Gentlemen’s Blues Club.
