Unfortunately tonight i am unable to present the show due to a minor emergency (if there is such a thing) I won`t bore you with the details but it is impossible for me to be there tonight, Now since i did a certain show in July last year i`ve had numerous requests to have that show re-run & now is the perfect opportunity to do just that, so Ladies & Gentlemen i give you by popular demand!!!!!!
"THE SOUTHERN ROCK SHOWCASE"
As i mentioned this is something that originally aired in July 07 & was an idea conceived after reading a post on another from about the death of Southern Rock, that may seem the case from an outsiders point of view & it`s true to say this genre gets very little exposure in comparison with it`s peak in popularity in the 70`s early 80`s, Except for ARFm of course with my Rebel Rock n Blues show & Paul Chamberlains Redneck Review, anyhoo The Southern Rock Showcase shows there are still plenty of bands around today keeping this scene alive with some even managing to crossover into mainstream Rock , Black Stone Cherry for example, so if you were ever a fan of old school southern rockers such as Lynyryd Skynyrd, Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet & The Outlaws tune in tonight & hear the bands of today that are keeping the southern flame burning
