Can anybody shed any light on the web rumour that Kino are no more. If this is true, its a massive blow to the numbers of fans who have followed this great band up and down the country and around Europe. This band deserve greatness.

Would seem rather strange if this is the case, bearing in mind that they have only just launched their myspace site etc. Hopefully this is a false rumour.

Over on the Kino site,Martin Hudson claims a December gig, while others claim to have knowledge of the split from people "CLOSE" to the band. Either way the silence that no one has denied it,is worrying.

There was no hint of Kino not being a going concern when John Mitchell was interviewed on ARfm recently. (Paul Baker show) John was very upbeat and the gig at the CRS in Rotherham was a great success. As you know the members of Kino are also in other very successful bands, so these commitments mean they don't tour much and have logistical problems getting togther but apart from that no worries as far as I know. In this respect it has to be seen as a seasonal project between the day band jobs! I would be very surprised if they were no more. Janette I hope (please) will confirm!
