On May 22, Sony BMG is set to release WWE: Wreckless Intent; a CD compilation on which WWE Superstars’ themes are performed by some of the biggest and hottest rock, alternative and hip-hop artists in music today. Killswitch Engage, Mercy Drive, P.O.D., Saliva, Shadows Fall, Three 6 Mafia and legendary band Motörhead are just some of the contributing artists to the 15 original tracks on this album.
This highly anticipated release features the first new music released by the platinum-selling Three 6 Mafia since the celebrated hip-hop artists’ historic Academy Award win for Best Original Song. The track, “Some Bodies Gonna Get It,” was recorded in association with WWE’s “World’s Strongest Man,” Mark Henry™.
Widely regarded as having re written the Metalcore rules its apt that Killswitch Engage apply their crushing, power chord riffs to Randy Orton’s “This Fire Burns”. Orton made some rules of his own when he went down in WWE history as the youngest WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Rob Van Dam feels the force of Shadow Fall’s shredding guitars and pinch harmonies and Brand New Sin ‘Crank It Up’ for WWE’s 7ft 2in, 470 pound Superstar, Big Show.
Released by Sony BMG on 22nd May, WWE’s Reckless Intent reaffirms the crossover between music and World Wrestling Entertainment.
ARfm will be running a competition on the release weekend to win copies of this CD
