Here is the official reason for cancelling Z Rock from Firehouse Management ARM & a short reply from Mark Alger (Midas Entertainment)
ARM Statement: With regard to the FireHouse performance in Dudley, UK on September 24, 2006, ARM and FireHouse feel that it's very unprofessional to air grievances in a public forum, however, in this situation, the promoter, Midas Entertainment, and his actions have forced us to defend ourselves. Midas Entertainment was notified of the official cancellation, and ARM instructed him to remove FireHouse from all marketing and advertisements. He has yet to do so. We suspect the reason for this is to sell more tickets and mislead FireHouse fans into thinking FireHouse is still performing. This is unacceptable. The simple fact is that Firehouse has NOT been paid, as the Western Union Money Gram that was supposedly sent after the September 13th 6 PM deadline for payment was declined by Western Union. The agreement from the very first discussions in May of 2006 was that FireHouse was to be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the event. The Western Union receipt is dated September 14, 2006. Incidentally, this Western Union wire was sent AFTER the official cancellation deadline of the close of business day on September 13, 2006. The Promoters did not meet the contract requirements and missed several time sensitive deadlines to comply with the balance of payments due Firehouse. We had provided many "courtesy" extensions to the deadlines past the original contractual deadline to try to make this work. After all of those extensions, we sent Midas an email saying that if the balance wasn't in by end of business day the following day, FireHouse would be cancelling. We finally sent notification of official cancellation the following day, and he had the opportunity to cancel all flights. Our feeling is that Midas never took us seriously, ignoring our repeated requests and not following the guidelines of the contract. The contract passed along to many fans and business associates via email/on line was altered and edited to support the promoters position. The time sensitivity was deleted to show the band in a bad light unjustly. There were multiple requests for a bank wire confirmation number, which, to this day, has still not been produced by Midas Entertainment. All flights were booked incorrectly for band and crew. Several items of equipment that the band required were replaced with sub-standard gear. Hotel reservations were booked incorrectly, with no confirmation of any correction. ARM and FireHouse have given Midas Entertainment more than enough chances to get it right, but he has failed everyone on numerous occasions. Firehouse finds the whole experience troubling and realizes at the end of the day the fans and the band both get the short end of the deal. The end result is that the promoters are in material breach of the performance contract. Regrettably, Firehouse was forced to cancel the scheduled September 24th performance. Every other time FireHouse has performed in The U.K., and/or Europe, everything has gone according to plan. Firehouse will be making another trip to the UK in 07 and hopefully, you the fans, will find it in your rock and roll hearts to support the band and the new promoters involved. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused any of the fans and supporters of the band. Sincerely, FireHouse Management.
Midas Response To ARM's Statement: In relation to ARM's comments, we instructed our Lawyers on Tuesday to collect all monies paid to ARM concerning Firehouse. We retracted the Western Union funds 24 hours ago after we where advised by ARM formally on Monday September 18th that Firehouse would not be attending. All flights where booked and are still open, as of last night one member failed to catch his flight making it impossible for the band to attend. Midas will provide documented proof to ticket holders on the day of the event to prove the above allegations are false

Midas Entertainment wrote Midas will provide documented proof to ticket holders on the day of the event to prove the above allegations are false My only question is why would they be False what possible gain could Firehouse get from cancelling a gig & disappointing hundreds of fans
