This is from the front page of www.melodicrock.comVAN HALEN AND ROTH - FINALLY IN 2007: No more teasing. Never tease where Van Halen is concerned...I have information from a highly placed source that Van Halen will likely tour in 2007 with David Lee Roth as frontman. Negotiations are currently underway to re-unite Van Halen with their original frontman for a tour in 2007 that will take in Amercia and possibly other territories. While nothing in the world of Van Halen is set until the band walk out on stage, I can confirm that negotiations between all parties have been underway for some time, trying to put together a big 2007 re-union tour. One would presume the tour will feature classic VH era songs only. What I do not yet know is whether this plan includes exiled bass player Michael Anthony. Perhaps Wolfgang will play bass? I'm told these questions will be answered shortly. Van Halen last toured in 2004 with Sammy Hagar, but the tour ended on a sour note and Hagar has not talked to Eddie Van Halen since. What I also know is that there will be no new Van Halen release to go with the tour, such as The Best Of Both World's in 2004. There is no plans for a new compilation or a new studio album - just the tour. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested by this reunion!!

I was just wondering if anyone would be interested by this reunion!! Well it's very interesting...but can DLR pull it off I wonder? He didn't look up to it on that Youtube video, the one where he looks like he's impersonating Val Doonican <showing my age icon>

I thought there'd be a huge uproar in favour of this reunion, but judging by peoples reactions on the MR forum, it's quite the opposite

I just can't help but think they'll be really disappointing -sometimes it's better not to go back!

I think it could be very embarrasing, especially seeing as DLR and EVH are not in their prime anymore, and also the great Michael Anthony won't be on bass!!

I saw 'em with Sammy, and that's the only VH I'd wanna see, DLR has always made cringe, even in his heyday! ;D

there may not be a big furore on MR.com, but make no mistake, the world over, this is the news a vast majority of the Van Halen fans have been waiting 22 yrs to hear, i agree it could be a bit disappointing cos dave only has the charisma left , he has no voice & there is no way he`ll be doing the high kicks & splits, but this is the ORIGINAL Van Halen ( although M.A might not be there) & a must see, for me anyway, but they will probably not come back to the UK, luckily i caught them at Donnington in 1984, what i would really like is an all new Van Halen album with the original line up, now that would really excite me ;D
