Hi All, Another busy ARfm Soundscapes on the cards for tomorrow, I'll be chatting to Stu Nicholson of Galahad and also (fingers crossed as the guys are on their way to a gig in Bristol tomorrow), Pure Reason Revolution. Hope you can join me, 3-6pm. Cheers Prog Paul

[glow=red,2,300]WOW![/glow] Galahad are an integral part of our love of music, up there with Pallas, IQ, Pendragon, Solstice, Twelth Night et al! They kept the flag flying when it was really brave to do so. Many bands have them and their fellow musicians to thank for keeping this genre alive, albeit underground. 2006 seems to be a year where people are starting to listen to real music again! Pure Reason Revolution were rather good last night in Rotherham supporting Pallas. Reminding me of an early Pink Floyd but much heavier. A guy at the bar had the best description, "early Floyd meets Ramstein! Sadly the band had sold out of CDs so I shall have to try elsewhere. So one question you can ask them Paul is why didn't they bring enough CDs to the gig and please where can we get them from?! It was my birthday Saturday and I couldn't have wished for a more enjoyable evening, with me rock mates and two superb bands! Keep rockin' !

The Pallas official bootleg CD is superb! I shook hands with Graeme Murray bass and vocals in Pallas after the superb Rotherham gig, they never fail to give superb value for money! :-) Still can't believe what a great night it was, with two bands of superb imaginative rock, one young and heading places, the other veterans that have nothing to prove but still impress and inspire. Pure Reason Revolution have that something, confidence, style, ambition and they know they are good and aren't afraid to to use the adjective prog as a positive statement. Porcupine Tree who I love, deny the genre assocaition and who can blame them but here is a band who just came on stage did their stuff with no fuss and sold out all their CDs before the last not was played. Forget Mystery Jets it is bands like this that get my vote in regaining the respect due for progrock, so long absent in the mainstream.

Agreed and Agreed.. Boatman... Pallas are superb, even when the Tea Lady and I get told off for not 'clapping'... Sorry Mr Murray!! Pure Reason Revolution were superb as well and chatting to them on Sunday was a delight, a very nice bunch of people with real talent and a really positive attitude. Here's hoping they'll go far, the should do. Cheers Prog Paul
