Sounds like a film based on the lives of the boardsters might be promising... as it doesn't include the presenters.
Now, I expect there would be some tales to tell!!

That's funny - I could've sworn I've seen posts from presenters on here..... In my view that makes you lot 'boardsters' as well ;D

Sorry, screwed that up....
I meant to say "as long as it doesn't include the presenters"

I really didn't enjoy 'Bride & Prejudice', the recent Bollywood reworking of P&P. For one, Mr. Darcy was weedy looking, and for two, the music kept overlapping with the dialogue. I wonder how Arjen Lucassen might rework the story :-)?

Did anyone see 'The 40 Year Old Virgin'? The hero had lots of sci-fi related toys on his shelves, and an Asia poster on his wall. I'm NOT accusing anyone of being like him, but I identified with the guys in the electrical shop getting pissed off at their boss putting the same Michael McDonald video on!

OK it seems the formula for a great movie is suspense + car chases X sex - "chick stuff"!

Pride and Predudice is supposed to be a very good version, nothing like the BBC version with lace bonnets and everyone sitting around sewing. This one has Keira running around bare foot. The visuals are supposed to be great as well. I think a lot of foreigners go to these films to see the scenery.
I agree there is a distinct lack of originality in British cinema except for Richard Curtis maybe. Bryan Forbes and Richard Attenborough were the last directors with any real originality. I forget who mentioned it now but 'Whistle down the Wind' was a classic.
Remakes like Starsky and Hutch and The Dukes of Hazzard are dead losses in my book. They rarely come up to the original versions.
Good films in my book that I have seen recently - 'The Notebook', 'Vera Drake' and 'Finding Neverland'. Biggest let down was 'The Phantom of the Opera'
