Okay, you want to get someone to listen to a band you like. So your mission should you accept, is to don your anorak and list 10 tracks for this person to listen to from this band, by way of an introduction...
To start off I'm going for Led Zeppelin...
1. Immigrant Song 2. Stairway To Heaven 3. The Song Remains The Same 4. The Rain Song (sublime) 5. No Quarter 6. Kashmir (my fave) 7. Trampled Under Foot 8. Achilles Last Stand 9. Whole Lotta' Love 10. Babe I'm Gonna' Leave You

Well you'd have lost me on Track 2 luv - ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! (not a Led Zep fan at all, sorry ;D) I don't usually need 10 tracks, one or two is enough to know if sommat is gonna grab me by the gonads (if I had any of course! ) I was sent 2 Hinder tracks, and immediately decided I *must* have the CD!!!! Which I now have, and love!

(pause for effect) to see where our musical tastes crossed and it was very interesting. Even your regular gig-mates will like maybe 8 out of 10 bands that you love and then you hit a couple of bands that the other can't stand for whatever reason and that is as healthy for music as Arfm is for radio.... (mmmmh beer.... Homer Simpson voice) As for being grabbed by the gonads, if you had any you certainly wouldn't want them grabbed! As for the Hinder tracks analogy (ooh err!) I can see your point, a couple of tracks can have that' hook you in' factor..... but ten seemed like a nice number really..... Shaggy, how come women always win the debate?

Well prob wouldn't mind them doing an AC/DC track *too* much, as I've said before it's not their music I mind particularly, but that guy's horrid screeching voice which puts me right off ;D Led Zep, chances are no...............cos I remember when I went to see Alter Bridge, they started playing a song which I didn't know and wasn't impressed with (ideal time for a loo break ) and apparently it was a really famous Led Zep song ROFL Oops! ;D Each to their own tho I love the guy in Gotthard's voice tho - it's well nice!
