do i dare to dream of a league title.....especially with the "Big guns" stuttering and only Arsenal looking good! european football too.......no no its all a fantasy......but just maybe ;D I don't rate Eriksson as a manger but i can't really complain with City enjoying the best start to a season in 30 years! after yesterdays amazing performance against Newcastle things look very promising. If we can keep Elano and Petrov fit and Richards and Dunne keep it solid at the back to help with our inexperienced keepers Schmeichel and Hart. Did you all see Elano' s freekick...... I know in great City tradition it'll all probably go pear shaped and come xmas we'll be staring relegation in the face! but just for the moment i'm gonna enjoy flying high in the premiership ;D Woody

I was a bit dubious when they took on Eriksson as manager, mainly due to his inability as England manager but, as I was informed by many, his ability at club level is far superior. And it looks as though they've been proved right!!
They've made a cracking start to the season due to some superb defensive work from Richards(how good is this guy!) and Dunne and some sterling work from his new signings, especially Elano and Petrov....why shouldn't it continue??
Also another good win for us Toffee's tonight....we needed the 3 points, that's for sure!

In all the games so far we have looked like a good side, besides the united win in which we were very poor and only won out of determination as opposed to skill! Utd made us look like amatuers.
Although i do believe our good fortune may depend on Elano we can't replace him if his out and although we've spent money lose a few key players and we can't compete with the big boys!
I hope it does continue but once a few sides especially Chelski find their feet our league stature may dimish, and i'm sure Utd will want to smack us about and give us a heavy defeat in revenge for us winning the last derby against the run of play!
Richards is an amazing player destined for big things, i don't think it'll be long until he's one of the first names on the England team sheet. Stephen Ireland also had a good game yesterday, hopefully he'll continue to improve....

Personally, I think Chelsea have shot their bolt. I bet they're already regretting getting rid of 'The Special One', and having Shevschenko up front is a joke...the guy's a donkey!!
I don't think there are many teams that will give City a good hiding this season, possibly Arsenal. Think the United domination of the Manchester derby is over, too.
Who's the young blonde lad playing in midfield? Can't think of his name but he's scored a couple of beauty's this season, already.

yeah, things at chelsea are completley screwy at the moment, but given the talent the club has would be surprised if they still don't have a good season although losing Terry will be a great dent at the back! hoepfully things will stay dodgy until after our game at stamford bridge! it would be great to be the team that destroys their unbeatean home record whats it up to 66 games or something silly?
Arsenal only beat us 1-0 at the emirates so thats a good sign considering they are the strongest team in the league at the moment!
Yeah Michael Johnson looks like a great prospect he's only 19 i think!

I was hoping that with the special one going there may have been a chance of Scott Sinclair returning to Plymouth on loan like last season, but would appear not,as he is breaking into their first team. Still we will make do with Sylvan Ebanks Blake, you were right Mr P. he is a good player he wasnt last year but now fit he looks the part.

Yep, another good win for Man City, and Elano scores again. That's great for me, as he's in my dream team ;D Unfortunately, we had a dickhead of a referee, who decided to award a dubious penalty against us as Gerrard fell over a blade of grass And then, the ref decides NOT to send Kuyt off, even tho he nearly cut Phil Neville in half, who then precedes to score the winning penalty for the red shite!!
